Call for Participation: Two Shared Tasks Two Shared Tasks at NLP4IF 2021 (NAACL 2021)

We are happy to announce this year’s two shared tasks to be collocated with the NLP4IF workshop at NAACL 2021. The two tasks are:

Task 1: Fighting the COVID-19 Infodemic (in English, Arabic, and Bulgarian)

The task involves predicting several binary properties of a tweet about COVID-19: whether it is harmful, whether it contains a verifiable claim, whether it may be of interest to the general public, whether it appears to contain false information, etc. Read more: https://gitlab.com/NLP4IF/nlp4if-2021

Task 2: Censorship Detection (in Chinese)

Predicting which tweet is going to be censored using its text. Read more here: https://gitlab.com/NLP4IF/nlp4-if-censorship-detection The goal of these shared tasks is to encourage the development of novel methods for detecting misinformation and censorship, which have become increasingly prevalent in our society today. By participating in these tasks, researchers have an opportunity to advance the state-of-the-art in natural language processing and to contribute to the fight agai­­nst fake news and censorship.
