QCRI collaborated with the United Nation’s Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) to explore the ways technology can be used to build peace in times of conflict. QCRI organized a 3-day workshop in Doha, through which, the Tanbih project was highlighted, and it was described as “a tool created by researchers at QCRI that uses natural language processing techniques to identify propaganda, loaded language, name calling and a number of other factors culminating in the credibility of a certain story or organization.”
